ESG narrative and reporting

The task

Cubico Sustainable Investments asked for our support to present a clearer, more confident and cohesive ESG narrative for its 2025 ESG Report, Energy for Tomorrow. Our brief was to ensure the final document was engaging, credible and appropriate for a wide stakeholder audience. The report brought together detailed ESG content, evolving best practice reporting expectations, regional case studies and sensitive subject matter.

The requirements

Hailhurst was asked to help shape the report’s structure, strengthen the flow, clarify key messages and ensure the report reflected its purpose, values and role in the energy transition. The original brief focused on copy editing the draft report, making sure the language was clear, accurate and consistent across the document. However, our scope soon expanded to include refining leadership statements, strengthening section introductions, improving case studies and smoothing technical, operational and governance content.

The results

The final report presented a clearer, more confident and cohesive ESG narrative, turning working drafts into a polished report with stronger flow, sharper messaging and a more consistent voice. We helped Cubico to articulate sensitive areas responsibly, while connecting individual proof points to a clearer overall story: a long-term renewable energy investor working to deliver clean energy while creating positive outcomes for people, communities and the environment.

01

Refined ESG narrative

We crafted a clear, confident and compelling ESG narrative that not only resonates with all key stakeholders but also binds together the elements of Cubico's ESG approach across a range of formats and content outputs, from ESG reporting and investor presentations to web copy, social media and internal communications.

02

Strengthened impact communication

Highlighting Cubico's positive contributions to communities and the environment through sharp, consistent messaging. Case studies alone aren't enough. We ensure that they are drafted to really bring out how Cubico adds value, creates impact and delivers on its ESG strategy.

We developed both financial and non-financial content and data to demonstrate how Cubico's strategy, governance and performance create long-term value for its stakeholders and investors, moving beyond traditional sustainability reporting.
